Jaymee's work is inspired by her love for various cult shows, cartoons, and comics such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, Justice League, Thundercats, Superman, and Batman. The dynamic characters, unique storylines, and the fan base that give these shows and comics their meaning drive her imagination and creativity. Jaymee creates her artwork to show her enjoyment of this culture, the characters and the fans; and shares her work to elicit reactions from viewers unfamiliar with the origin works and the fans of these works alike.

Her work is described as being based upon the human figure because her illustrations have a main character or characters portrayed in dynamic poses and environments. The imagery in Jaymee's works comes to life as she dives in to episodes, movies, or books.Jaymee excels at planning the design of the piece and researching in depth about the character to make the work embody or elevate them.

Raised in Spokane, Washington to an artistically inclined family, Jaymee thrived in her early years drawing often and to her heart's content. It was when she transitioned in to high school that she decided that the World of Art was where she wished to be. She attended the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon and graduated in 2012 with a  Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration.

She and her husband, Steve, currently reside in Nebraska, enjoying their geeky life together with their daughter, Dorothy, and pop culture-named Great Dane, Tobias (Solo: A Star Wars Story)!
